For over 20 years, he has participated in the negotiation and structuring of highly complex corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, tax planning, and project financing for various industry sectors. He also has extensive experience as a director and representative of domestic and international companies.
Germán Carrera provides confidential advice to high-net-worth individuals and families, private companies, and family offices. His experience with these clients encompasses all aspects of estate planning, real estate, trusts, tax and immigration matters, among others. He has extensive experience handling matters such as will planning, trusts, estate tax, business succession, asset protection, mediation services, and more.
Likewise, German leads the Land area, participating for more than 20 years in the acquisition of land for various mining projects such as the Tambomayo Project of the Buenaventura Mining Company, Xstrata Peru - Las Bambas, Minera La Zanja, Minsur, Cia de Minas Orcopampa, among others, as well as in energy projects such as Hydrika of the IBT Group, Consorcio Energético de Huancavelica (Conenhua), EGE Junin, among others.
A lawyer, he graduated from the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the University of Lima. He specialized in Tax Law at the same school. He has completed a diploma in Mining Law at the Graduate School of the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences, as well as various courses in Tax, Banking, and Financial Law at prestigious institutions. He holds a diploma from the Yale University Management Program for Lawyers in New Haven, Connecticut, USA, in May 2012.
